Background
This anime was made for government agencies and public institutions, such as schools and after-school programs. It was released on three 16mm reels under Chuubu Nihon Kyouei. Not much is known about its original release. In 1996, PSG sold the OVAs as retail under the title Yoiko no Anime-kan through 6 home-video releases. Some episodes were duplicated across their release and the episodes were out of order. PSG then released the series on DVD with the original name, this time without duplicates. In 2009 Niigata Sogo Televsion broadcasted the anime Tuesday through Friday at 4:45pm-4:59pm. They did not air the final 29th episode.
